Pet Peeves

They can be fandom related or just anything in general.

One of my biggest ones is 99% of the fanon portrayals and jokes.
ESPECIALLY the ''Useless Gate Guard" Portrayal for Meiling.

The Pad Jokes are dumb too.

Nearly all, if not all, of the Touhou jokes are pretty stupid.
I dislike the "lazy guard Meiling", "Pad Sakuya", "donation-less Reimu", "Tsurupettan", etc etc etc...Can you find a character without a serious stereotype? My least favorite would be the pad jokes and flat-chested joke...

Serious amount of pet peeves in Hetalia, I can go on forever...

And then roleplaying in general, I'm not saying I'll kill you for it, but when I write a 3-para reply and get a one liner back, I don't feel my best, to say the least. I have no problem with one line roleplays. I just don't want one line vs. three paragraphs.

I dislike the glutton Yuyuko portrayal.

Glutton Yuyuko I don't hate, but don't particularly like. I think Yuyuko eats a lot. youmu exaggerates a bit. But she is far from a glutton. There are, of course, Yuyuko blogs that emphasize her gluttony, sadly...and nearly all fan art of Youmu and Yuyuko as well, ugh.

Now, with Yuugi, I grow a little bit sick of 'Horny' jokes.
And it gets a bit annoying when people act offended when my Reimu is every bit as rude to them as she is to every other character.

Well that's exactly how Canon Reimu is, coming off as an Aloof Dick, like Hibari Kyoya from Reborn. So you're doing a great job XD

Also, CAVED! Keine jokes...

Yuugi is not too bad but those horn jokes get old realllly fast.

Another, I really don't like the whole chest envy thing or whatever that goes on in fan art? I see that a lot with Eiki and Youmu, and I hate it. It ties into the whole Sakuya pads thing as well...

Bad Apple is starting to get annoying and old. As well as CHEEEN! And just about any other video meme.

Chest envy is just a weirdass trope that Japan loves abusing in everything.

Also Lolicons are a peeve of mine.

I hope you're okay with me launching into a long essay on my thoughts of Touhou lolis-or-not tomorrow. :V For now, just some thoughts.

Basically, I don't think anyone in Touhou is strictly a lolicon, but characters like Medicine, Rumia, and Suika, whose appearances are in fact very young, are about as close as you can get. I figure older characters like Letty, Yukari, Yuuka, Eirin, etc. generally are on the large side of non-lolis. Also the two vampires, who are also young in age...but I wouldn't say anyone is seriously a loli.

None of this Tsurupettan stuff, dang it.

if there's one big pet peeve i can't escape...its the porn. also the weird breast inflation????????? it makes me really uncomfortable.
not to mention the lack of touhou art that isn't drawn in anime style. anime's ok, but i love people who draw their own interpretation that doesn't involve just manipulating the breast size and ~~***KAWAII DESU SUGOI EYES-CHAN!***~~.

Okay, something what I really hate is how people keep shaming those who play touhou games on easy, and keep saying that they are not playing the games "as they should be played". Okay, some spellcards are damn easy on Easy but in my opinion playing on easy is great practise. For example somes it's good to see what kind of spellcards some bosses will use on harder difficulties. And, another example, some bosses like Yoyuko and Sakuya are still quite hard on easy I cried when I beat Yuyuko for the first time (both easy and normal) bc I was so scared

But the point is: STOP SHAMING PEOPLE WHO PLAY ON EASY. thank you

Let me add on to this, I think?

There are your Touhou geniuses who beat Lunatic and Extra no problem, blah, blah, blah.
People who use Hard mode as a little teaser, and stuff.
People who play Normal regularly and just become good at it.

I fall into the last category, people who play on easy. All the time. One, for practice, obviously, because it's easier mode. Also to get used to spellcards, to test out new shots, to try bombs, etc. But I also play on easy mode because I'm just not good at Touhou.

I don't think that makes me any less than your Mr. Lunatics or even just people who play Normal all the time. My default mode is Easy. I don't think people should be teased for that, and I mean negatively of course. I didn't even think there are people who do that, but there are. Most sadly.

I still don't understand why people even shame those who play on Easy. It's hardly any different from pointing out the one kid who doesn't get picked on playground teams because s/he's just unathletic--which, I should note, usually happens to be me if we're talking about terms of athletics
